OUT OF THE CITY

When I met my baby
I was feeling low and lonely
I didn’t know what living was
My day-by-day was just because
I found myself repeating
All these thoughts that I’d been feeling
To myself when would sleep at night
My bed was made of dynamite

I’m moving out of the city today
I’m moving somewhere nice and pretty

I want to be somebody else
I want to start it over
And I miss the days when life was good
I misremember my childhood
I wish that you could help me
And I wish you didn’t scare me so much
I had to run away
I hope we get to talk again someday

Moving out of the city today
I’m moving somewhere nice and pretty
I’m moving out of the city today
I’m moving somewhere better for me
